When Coraline moves to an old house, she feels ignored by her parents and exhausted. She finds a doorway having a passage that is bricked up. At night time, she crosses the passage and finds out a universe where everybody has buttons instead of eyes and all her fantasies coming true. As soon as the Other Mother invites Coraline to remain within her world for ever, the girl finds that the alternative reality where she is trapped is just a trick and refuses.

This movie freaked me out so much when I was a kid. Watching it again now after so many years... It's an interesting experience. Of course, I'm still creeped out by the nightmares of the Other World, but I've come to appreciate this film as a whole.

Coraline is my favorite movie I've watched it 59 times to be precise. They should seriously consider making a 2nd one. That movie will be the first Laika movie that has a 2nd part to it.
